Slovene pianist Ivan Skrt performs in Paris

ponedeljek, 17. marec 2014

On 19 March 2014 pianist Ivan Skrt will give a recital entitled Black-White at the prestigious 1020-seat concert hall Salle Gaveau in Paris.

The Slovene pianist Ivan Skrt finished his studies in 2007 in the class of prof. Naum Starkman and prof. Mikhail Lidsky at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music in Moscow and later studied with prof. Henri Barda at the Paris college École Normale Supérieure de Musique de Paris.

The theme of the concert, as suggested by the title, addresses the esoteric principles of darkness and light, which had inspired much of the work of one of Skrt's favourite composers Skriabin. The program will feature compositions by Mussorgsky, Bartók, Skriabin and Ravel. The young musician, who takes great care in his appearance, usually plays 19th and beginning of 20th century musical works, which are delivered with technical brilliance and presented within esoteric concepts.

In May 2014/this year a new challenge awaits him with the release of his CD.
