The 86-year-old legendary accordion player and composer Slavko Avsenik, one of the most prolific ambassadors of Slovene music died on 2 July.

The two main Slovenian early music festivals will offer a wide range of early music from medieval to baroque pieces as well as 20th-century works performed by professional musicians at different venues, mostly castles and churches, important sites of Slovenian architectural and cultural heritage.
