INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

JAZZAHEAD! MUSIC FAIR
28 April – 1 May 2011, Bremen, Germany

Jazzahead! is considered the most important European jazz music fair, attracting numerous music organizations, enterprises, professionals, music editors and music centres, as well as providing the framework for conferences, symposia and concerts. The fair offers a unique opportunity for international recognition of Slovenian jazz. SIGIC organized the main Slovenian stand, situated in the central venue of the fair, thus enhancing its visibility. Like in 2011, the opening of SIGIC’s activities at the fair was marked by the Alpine cocktail, which has become a popular social event organized by four participating establishments: SIGIC, the representatives of Austrian jazz, the Südtirol Jazzfestival and the Cooperative Society of Music Authors and Publishers, SUISA Foundation. At its stand, SIGIC highlighted the new compilation Jazz Slovenia 2011, but also presented the creative achievements of the broader jazz scene in Slovenia.
